Job Description

Summary:

The Field Technician that specializes in Digital Signage is a direct representative of SageNet to the client and end user. Ensuring quality and support for the equipment and services provided, this position will participate in quality audits to ensure all required specifications are met. Responsible for creation of Field Service Bulletins (FSBs) and distribution accordingly.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with and oversee the integration and testing of indoor and outdoor digital signage assemblies
  • Work with Sales and Operations to develop and document digital signage solutions
  • Oversee the implementation of Proof of Concept implementations at new clients
  • Assess the quality of workmanship performed by installation sub-contractors and third-party maintenance contractors through the use of the SageNet Picture Server
  • Generate QA tickets for substandard workmanship and ensure the vendors resolve all issues prior to closing the QA ticket and receiving payment for work
  • Provide Digital Signage installation training to third party vendors and customers as directed
  • Conduct Customer Pilot installations, new product testing as directed
  • Provide overflow support with Digital Signage installation and Maintenance activities as directed
  • Provide technical support for Field Operations organizations
  • Assist QA Team in maintaining a single, unified QA process
  • Function as field experts on all Digital Signage installation/maintenance related support requests
  • Installation efforts involving SageNet approved devices – routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations
  • Maintain knowledge base of existing technology being supported as well as being open to new innovation of new technology and product lines

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive and extensive background in Digital Signage installation/troubleshooting
  • Comprehensive knowledge and exposure to basic telecommunication platforms
  • Knowledge of test equipment, i.e. spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, etc.
  • Knowledge of Cat5 and electrical installation Testing
  • Preferred knowledge of HDBaseT infrastructure and technologies
  • Preferred knowledge of HDBaseT testing equipment and ability to guide field techs through successful testing outcomes and testing failure resolution
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while maintaining a professional attitude and completing assigned tasks on time
  • Desire to continue to learn new technologies around displays, AV distribution, and digital signage infrastructure
  • Must be comfortable functioning as a SageNet representative while on-site with customers
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills for both internal and external customers
  • Must have a driver’s license and the ability to travel as directed
  • Associates or technical degree in electronic technology, 7+ years field experience
  • Industry certifications that apply is a plus
